Binder of Injection Molded Magnets
Binder types include Nylon 6 and 12, PPS, and Polyamide or polymer, which are capable of a wide range of application temperatures from -40°C to 180°C.
Injection Molded magnets and magnetic materials can be molded into complex shapes and also molded directly onto components or be inserted directly inside or against an existing component to produce assembly pieces.

So the Injection molded magnets dimensionally conform to mold cavities, which are precisely machined, resulting in finished products which usually do not require further finishing and post processing operations, which eliminates subsequent processing and reduces total cost.

Compression Bonded magnets
Bonded magnets can also be made through the process of compression bonding which offer higher magnetic output but are limited to simpler geometries than Injection Molded materials. Compression Bonded magnets can be made from either powerful NdFeB or SmCo powders material, mixed into some binders. The compression bonded magnets provides the dimensions typically vary .002" or better for a given run.
Compression bonded magnet is isotropic, so it can be magnetized through any direction, including multi-polar arrangements.
It can be machined on a mill or lathe, because the material is in an epoxy binder. However, the material will not support a thread, so holes cannot be tapped. Compression bonded magnet is often used to substantially reduce the size of designs that used ceramic magnet materials. Significant size reductions can be achieved because Compression bonded magnet is approximately 3 times stronger than ceramic magnet material. In addition, since Compression bonded magnet is isotropic, it can be magnetized multi-polar, such as a N-S-N-S pattern on the outer diameter of a ring.
